VIA PROGRAM

Enjoy Swimming. Build Confidence. Grow Together.

VIA Program

Vision. Improvement. Advancement.

This is not swim lessons. All swimmers must already know how to swim.

The VIA Program is designed for swimmers who have completed swim lessons and are ready to continue developing in a structured, coach-led, non-competitive environment.

Formerly known as Swim League, the VIA Program helps swimmers improve technique, build fitness, learn swim team habits, and continue progressing without the pressure of swim meets.

VIA stands for Vision, Improvement, and Advancement.

Vision means helping each swimmer understand their path forward.
Improvement
means building stronger technique, fitness, confidence, and consistency.
Advancement
means guiding swimmers toward their next appropriate step, whether that is continued non-competitive training, higher-level development, or future competitive swimming.

Fall Session Information

Fall Session Begins: August 17, 2026
Fall Session Ends: November 13, 2026
Enrollment Opens: August 10, 2026

Families will enroll through Captyn for the VIA Program 24-Class Pack or 16-Class Pack. New swimmers must complete an evaluation before enrolling so coaches can recommend the appropriate age group and training track.

Who This Program Is For

The VIA Program is for swimmers who:

  • Have already completed swim lessons
  • Are water safe
  • Can swim independently without assistance
  • Can be coached from the deck
  • Are ready for a swim team-style environment
  • Want to continue improving without being required to compete

Swimmers who are still learning basic swim skills should register for Learn-to-Swim: Group Lessons or Private Lessons

What Changed From Swim League?

  • The previous Swim League model placed swimmers into fixed levels such as Junior Swim League, Swim League 1, Swim League 2, and Swim League 3.
  • The new VIA Program organizes swimmers by age group and training track so each swimmer can follow a clearer and more flexible development pathway.
  • Instead of being locked into one fixed level for an entire session, swimmers can be guided toward the right type of training based on their current needs.
  • This structure allows coaches to better support swimmers who need stroke development, fitness training, advanced skills, or future competitive readiness.

Program Age Groups & Tracks

Three Age Groups

Ages 5–9 | Ages 9–13 | Ages 13–18

Program Tracks

Core

Core classes focus on stroke technique, body position, breathing, kicking, drills, and basic swim team habits.

Fitness

Fitness classes focus on endurance, aerobic kick and swim work, interval training, and Freestyle/Backstroke consistency.

Pursuit

Pursuit classes focus on advanced skill development, IM work, legal strokes, pacing, benchmark sets, and next-step readiness.

VIA Program Class Pack

The VIA Program is offered through a 24-Class Pack for $499 or 16-Class Pack for $320. This gives families the structure of a traditional swim session with more flexibility to choose the days that work best for their schedule.

This model gives swimmers more room to grow because they are not locked into one fixed level or schedule. Coaches can help guide swimmers toward the right mix of Core, Fitness, and Pursuit classes based on their current needs and goals.

How Enrollment Works

Families will enroll through Captyn for the VIA Program 24-Class Pack or 16 Class Pack.

The 24-Class Pack is the standard public enrollment option for this program.

The pack is designed to feel similar to a traditional session structure. Families may use it as:

12 weeks at 2 days per week | 8 weeks at 3 days per week | 6 Weeks at 4 days per week

Families may schedule classes based on availability until all 24 classes have been used.

Once the 24 classes are used, families may purchase another 24-Class Pack or add individual classes at the daily rate, based on availability.

For a How-to-Guide for Checking into a Class, Check out this page!

Classes not used by the end of session are not subject to a refund/credit (Use them or lose them).

Location Information & Current Practice Offerings

Families will select available classes in Captyn based on their swimmer’s recommended pathway.

Offerings can change monthly reflecting the needs of the group. If we need more Core and fitness class or more 5-9 classes and less 13-18 classes, we can now make those changes easier.

Evaluations & Placement

Returning Swimmers

Swimmers who participated in the previous session do not need a new evaluation.

Winter/Spring and Summer Session families should have received an email about the new VIA Program and what training track they should start.

New Swimmers

New swimmers must complete an evaluation before enrolling in the VIA Program.

Evaluations help determine whether the swimmer is ready for the VIA Program and which age group and training track is the best starting point.

Important Reminder

The VIA Program is not a learn-to-swim program.

All swimmers must already know how to swim, be water safe, and be coachable from the deck.

Swimmers who are still learning basic swim skills should register for Learn-to-Swim: Group Lessons or Private Lessons
